Everyone has a different idea of success and we all strive for different things; but ultimately, in all the different goals you pursue, you are looking for the freedom to make choices that continually improve those aspects of your personal and professional life that are important to you.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t match up to day to day reality for most people. There is little freedom and plenty of struggle, financial struggle, personal struggle, all the challenges that come with creating a great life for yourself.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Some of that struggle is necessary. It builds personal character. No success is an overnight achievement. However much of the struggle is unnecessary because it’s self-inflicted. Like thousands of people every year, I have had personal and relationships fail miserably before learning the lessons those failures provided. You don’t have to.
But you will have to be willing to do things differently to how 99% of others operate. And that means being willing to think differently.
Your prosperity, relationships, experiences and the quality of life it supports, can only reflect the quality of your thinking. In ever aspect of your life, from your health to your profits, the common denominator in it all is you.
How you think into your life will determine you’re the level of success you accomplish.
Very few people understand that, and even less do anything about it. They may read the odd book or listen to something inspirational but any messages they picked up are soon forgotten. They expect the book or the audio, which is the event, to make a difference to their lives.
However, that is not the case. The event is just the start; it is then the thinking into the learning, challenging their current knowledge and then implementing that learning, which is the process, where the difference is made. It is the challenge of being in the process that brings about the change desired changes.
As Jim Rohn, one of the most successful authors and philosophers of his generation said ‘formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune’.
The self-help books are only half-right when they say you can have anything you want. The truth is you CAN have anything you want – if you’re willing to pay the price. Most aren’t. Don’t be one of them.
